I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^

Why am I laughing at my self?......

for various reasons....one still havent found a job in the two bit town of Monahans...and two....the Anime/manga magazine that I get in the mail...Animerica....has now become a pure SHOJO publication....so in essence until the subscription expires I get mushy love stories .....

CRAP!

who cares...anyhow....I've got bigger fish to fry....

In other news....Boog is currently being a artistic powerhouse of energy....generating and cranking out ideas at a fairly full auto pace...

I have finally figured out a way to devise a simple bipedal mech tutorial....a idea that has rumbled around in my head for months now after finally getting fed up with those annoying comments on gaia about how they can't do mecha....good lord its simpler than its seems...the only rules that are key are form and porportion....anatomy is a mute point in this case....<end rant>

.....anyhow it will be divide up into two parts...part one will concern with the structual buildup of the mech and its parts and the various forms of a bipeal mecha....part two will concern with how I actually do these things....that part will be hard to do though...

also....I am devoting more attention to my portfolio work sooo if you see a landscape/enviroment and still life deviation in your deviantWatch ....that is the explanation for that....

I don't know why you even bother with trying to teach people on Gaia how to do mecha. I showed them some of my Tripods when I was still there, and all the kiddies where 'WTF?'ing them.

well I have many good and helpful friends on gaia that have helped me refine and tighten my design and style....

and not enough people do mecha....out of all of my treks across that site only 13-15 actuall know how to do mechanical design...and out of that one or two...(including me) post their stuff regularly...

I can safely say that I am like the only person keeping mecha (and on a side note truely creepy horrors/constructs) present in the picture post....for the moment anyhow...

...and yeah....I'm a stubborn asshole....
